Housing Counseling Services

Since 1992, HACE’s Housing Counseling Program serves as a core program to our neighborhood development strategy providing a wide range of comprehensive housing counseling services towards reducing the occurrence of homelessness, increase homeownership rates, provide housing education and to advocate for the use of other government supported housing programs.

HACE’s counselors are trained in the areas of mortgage financing and real estate practices, tenant-landlord laws, fair housing laws, foreclosure, energy conservation and utility assistance programs. Our counselors are bilingual (Spanish/English) and are very familiar with the needs of low to moderate-income families.

Our award winning program has evolved to meet the organization’s mission of serving as a one-stop-shop for housing services and is nationally certified through the NeighborWorks Center for Homeownership Education and Counseling; adopted the National Industry Standards for Homeownership Education and Counseling; certified by the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency’s Homeownership Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (HEMAP); and is a HUD Certified Housing Counseling Agency since 2005.
