HACE Business and Visitors Center, located 2708-10 N. 5th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19133, is an example of HACE’s redevelopment strategy along El Centro De Oro commercial corridor to generate an impact that is measurable and benefits other businesses through increased numbers of customers. HACE’s acquisition strategy concentrates on larger buildings that may otherwise not get absorbed in the private market and given their size and location generate greater economic and visual impact to transform El Centro de Oro as a destination place for Latino commerce, culture, and art.

This award winning facility, recipient of the Pennsylvania Townie Award in 2011 for Anchor Building Development, houses a community art gallery and our Main Street offices, and serves as a welcome center for residents and visitors to the corridor. La Galeria Art Gallery is housed on the first floor, providing a forum for local artists to exhibit their work, and attracts visitors to the corridor. This support to local artists is critical given the lack of exhibition venues in the corridor and the limited access to traditional cultural centers in the Philadelphia area for local artists to showcase their work.
